WAUKEE PTO OBJECTIVES

a. To encourage communication and involvement among parents, teachers, support staff, and students.

b. To provide additional resources and support for student and staff activities.

c. To support projects which will benefit students in the home, in the community, and the school.

d. To foster a spirit of cooperation between parents and teachers to assist in and enhance the student’s education.

e. To facilitate and encourage good relations between the Waukee PTO and the community.

Stomp out Bullying


The Waukee School District PTO is excited to participate in Blue Shirt Day®World Day of Bullying Prevention An initiative of STOMP Out Bullyingon October 3, 2016.
We encourage all students and administrators to GO BLUE by wearing a blue shirt on October 3rd to bring attention to National Bullying Awareness Month. Blue Shirt Day® World Day of Bullying Prevention An initiative of STOMP Out Bullying is asking that any social media have the following hashtags #StompOutBullying#BlueShirtDay2016#GOBLUEOCT3.
As a PTO organization we want to be mindful of bullying and do our part to step up and step in. Let’s be the best we can be to one another and stop bullying now.

District PTO Meeting

District PTO Meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month 4 times a year.

The first meeting of the 2012-2013 school year will be Tuesday, September 4th at 7:00 p.m. in the District Conference room.

Future dates will be added soon.

District PTO Slate Vote


The Waukee Community School’s District Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is looking for volunteers to fill various leadership positions:

·      Vice Presidents for each school
·      District President
·      District Secretary
·      District Treasurer
All district positions are elected positions.  The election will take place on April 3rd from 7-8 p.m. at the Waukee School District Conference room.  Any parent with a child in the Waukee School District is encouraged to come vote.

According to the Waukee District PTO bylaws a person filling either the District President position or Building VP must be filled by a current or past PTO board member.  In the event a person is seeking to be a CO-VP and does not fulfill the requirement, the other CO-VP must be a current or past District or Building PTO Board Member.

Parents interested in the above listed district positions should call or e-mail Ginnie Coleman at 771-4083 or waukeedistrictpto@gmail.com.  Notification regarding interest in these positions must be submitted by March 27th.

Waukee Community School District Foundation Annual Dinner

Waukee Community School District Foundation Annual Dinner & Silent Auction. 
Join the fun as we cut loose into the 80’s on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at the Sheraton Hotel in West Des Moines. Cocktails and silent auction at 6 p.m., dinner 7 p.m. and live auction at 8 p.m. 80’s attire encouraged! Tickets available on Rev Trak (http://waukee.revtrak.net/tek9.asp?pg=default) for $50 per person, $30 per staff member. If you are unable to attend but would still like to support the foundation, donations can also be made via Rev Trak.
